Striped Knitted Pompom Hat

Description

I knit this hat stripe by stripe. The raised, braided stitch is thick and fluffy, so the hat holds in warmth well, and the turned-up brim protects the ears from the wind.

Bold, cheerful colours brighten up any grey day, and the big black pompom gives it a cheeky character. It goes with a sporty jacket, a parka or a puffer.

Care

Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent; don't rub or wring. Press out the water in a towel and dry flat, away from radiators. Once dry, gently fluff up the pompom with your fingers.

I make every piece by hand, so the stitch pattern and shade may differ slightly from the photo. That isn't a flaw – it's a sign that the item was made by hand, not by a machine.
