What is Molaczka?

Molaczka is the handmade studio of Iwona Molak from Bolesławiec, Poland. Here I sell handmade crochet handbags and tote bags, shawls, hats, baskets, placemats and decorations – usually each item is one of a kind. Molaczka's official website and shop is molaczka.com.

Is everything handmade?

Yes. I crochet or knit every item myself, so no two pieces are identical.

What are the bags made of?

I crochet the handbags and totes from cotton or polyester cord, depending on the design.

Are the bags lined?

No, Molaczka handbags and totes are unlined. I explain how to look after a cord bag in my post on caring for your bag.

Can I order an item in a different colour?

Yes. Fill in the made-to-order form, and I'll reply within 2 working days with a price and completion date.

How long does a made-to-order piece take?

Shawls take about 4 weeks, other items about 2 weeks from receipt of the deposit. Products available in the shop are ready to ship.

How can I pay?

I accept payment by bank transfer. For made-to-order pieces, I start work once a deposit of 50% of the price has been paid.

How much does shipping cost?

I ship within Poland: InPost parcel locker 14 PLN, courier 19 PLN. Shipping is free on orders from 250 PLN. Local pickup in Bolesławiec is free of charge.

Can I collect my order in person?

Yes, in Bolesławiec. We'll arrange a pickup time by email or phone.

Can I return a product?

You can return items bought in the shop within 14 days – details are in the Terms and Conditions. An item made to your specifications cannot be returned within the 14 days (Art. 38 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act); this does not limit your statutory warranty rights.
