Hand-Knitted Shawl – Sand

Description

The shawl is worked in one continuous piece, from the darkest band to the lightest, so the colour transitions are smooth – nothing is sewn on anywhere. Each band has a different stitch: smoother in the darker sections, more openwork towards the cream edge.

The palette is taken from the earth after rain: dark chocolate, caramel, sand, linen, cream. These are colours that go with everything already in your wardrobe.

The classic triangle can be draped over the shoulders like a wrap, or folded lengthways and tied at the neck. On in-between days it's enough on its own, and in winter it fits under a coat without a bulky-collar effect.

Care

Hand wash in lukewarm water with wool wash. Don't wring – press out the water in a towel and dry flat, laid out in its proper shape. Drying on a hanger will stretch the edges.
