Crochet Bag – Raspberry

Description

I crochet this bag from cotton cord, stitch by stitch. The bag is unlined. The stitch is dense and springy – it holds its shape without being stiff, so the bag sits close to the body instead of sticking out.

The colour is a deep raspberry: bold but not loud. It pairs well with beige, black and denim, and on a grey day it provides all the colour an outfit needs.

The flap closes with a gold snap clasp that opens with a flick of your thumb. The strap is long and crocheted from the same cord – you can wear the bag over your shoulder or cross-body.

Care

Spot-clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or dry on a radiator – cotton cord doesn't cope well with high temperatures. Store stuffed with soft paper so the flap keeps its line.

Handmade

I make every piece by hand, so the stitch pattern and the shade of the cord may differ slightly from the photo. That isn't a flaw – it's a sign that the item was made by hand, not by a machine.
