Hand-Knitted Check Shawl – Violet & Turquoise

Description

I knit this shawl in a pattern where small rectangles alternate like woven strips. Thanks to the gradient yarn, each square has a slightly different shade, so the pattern looks like a mosaic in violet, navy and turquoise.

The triangular shape means you can wear it in several ways: tied at the neck like a neckerchief, over your shoulders or thrown over a coat. The cool, refined colours look beautiful with grey, black and denim.

Care

Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, without rubbing or wringing. Press out the water in a towel and dry flat, laying the shawl out in its proper shape.

I make every piece by hand, so the stitch pattern and shade may differ slightly from the photo. That isn't a flaw – it's a sign that the item was made by hand, not by a machine.
